Vinaigrette Blanc
Vinaigrette Blanc. For my personal taste, that's a little too oily — but it's totally up to you. Simple and delicious - a really easy and great tasting vinaigrette dressing!
This step makes the vinaigrette smooth and lightly creamy. Slowly add oil, whisking until emulsified, or shake the ingredients in a jar, or whirl them in a blender. My simple system is: In a small screw-top jar, place vinegar and a pinch of salt; cover and shake (this helps to dissolve the salt).
Gradually whisk in the oil, starting with a few drops and then adding the rest in a steady stream to.
If using a jar, top with the lid and shake until the vinaigrette is combined.
Chef John combines good-quality double-concentrated tomato paste with rice vinegar, balsamic vinegar, and Dijon for this deeply flavored salad dressing. This vinaigrette is great as a go-to dressing of every day and side dish salads. Measure all ingredients into a bowl, blender, or jar.
